Future of the park
The Park belongs to the count’s of Lynar who, in line with tradition, are making it accessible to the public. It is open to everyone throughout the year. For guests of the ensemble the Park remains a haven of peace far from the inrush of tourists in the old town that can be hectic at times. It serves as scenery for wedding guests and unforgettable pictures and offers space for different activities of conference guests. In addition, the Park with it’s woodland, water streams and ponds is a historic-cultural focal point of Lübbenau’s development of open-air facilities and landscape zones. The landscape architect Hagen Engelmann, the municipality of Lübbenau and the count’s family of Lynar jointly worked out a park maintenance program. By means of this concept the original park and spatial structures are to be restored in conjunction with environmental and nature conservation authorities and thus, the Park is to be returned to its original state. The historical model was characterized by harmony of the Schloss (Castle), the Orangerie (Orangery) and the Marstall (Former Stables) that were all inserted in the park.
